Yoga Class Information & Etiquette
Arrival
- Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to settle in.
- Be sure to turn your cell phone off; if you are on call, please set your phone to vibrate
Hygiene
- Some people are sensitive to fragrance; please do not use scented lotions, sprays, etc. prior
to class.
Courtesy
- Be conscious of your energy; never step on another yogi's mat.
- Concentration is important; please keep comments and questions to a minimum.
- Do make a mental note of any questions that you may want addressed during the closing of
class.
Safety
- Yoga should NEVER hurt.
- Always listen to your body; ask your instructor for modifications if something doesn't feel
right.
- Rest whenever you feel the need.
- Yoga is not a competition; please don't compare yourself to anyone else in the room.
Personal Needs
- Prior to class, please notify your instructor of pregnancy or injury.
- Gentle adjustments may be provided during class; please advise your instructor if this
practice does not suit you.
Departure
- If you must leave before the end of class, please do so before final relaxation.
- If you borrowed a mat please wipe it down and place it back in the storage bin.
