| I began practicing yoga in 2000. In 2001, I was introduced to Sivananda yoga. Having found the style that I am passionate about, I quickly developed a daily practice. I look forward to my annual pilgrimage to the Sivananda Ashram in the Catskill Mountains, or if I am very lucky, the Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas. When I realized that I wanted to share my love of yoga with others, I began teacher training. I achieved my first certification in 2006 and received my 500-hour teacher certification, from YogaLife Institute in Wayne, PA. I am registered with the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 200, RYT 500. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with my students, and continue to encourage them to challenge themselves without forcing. Always having them focus on the positive, I remind my students that yoga is about what you can do. Recognizing that there is always something new to learn, I continue to practice and study yoga on a daily basis. I have been fortunate to attend trainings and workshops lead by nationally and internationally renowned teachers Nischala Joy Devi, Edward Clark, Simon Park, and Doug Swenson. Namaste, Arlene |

| Yoga balances, harmonises, purifies and strengthens the body, mind and soul of the practitioner. It shows the way to perfect health, perfect mind control and perfect peace with one's Self, the world, nature and God. - Swami Vishnu-devananda |
