I began practicing yoga in 2000.  In 2001, I was introduced to Sivananda
yoga.  Having found the style that I am passionate about, I quickly
developed a daily practice.

When I realized that I wanted to share my love of yoga with others, I
began my teacher training.  I achieved my first certification in 2006, and
am a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher.

I encourage my students to challenge themselves without forcing.  And,
always have them focus on the positive; yoga is about what you
can do.

During March 2009, I completed a 108-hour certification course, Yoga of
the Heart®, with Nischala Joy Devi and Bashkar Alan Deva.  I
am using
this training to teach stress management and healing techniques to people
with limited mobility and serious illness.

I
am pursuing my 500-hour certification with Dr. Bob Butera, at YogaLife
Institute
in Wayne, PA.  I am excited about continuing my education, and
l
ook forward to sharing my new-found knowledge with my students.

Namaste,
Arlene
