| I began practicing yoga in 2000. In 2001, I was introduced to Sivananda yoga. Having found the style that I am passionate about, I quickly developed a daily practice. When I realized that I wanted to share my love of yoga with others, I began my teacher training. I achieved my first certification in 2006, and am a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher. I received my 500-hour teaching certification, from YogaLife Institute, in June 2010. Recognizing that there is always something new to learn, I continue to study and practice yoga on a daily basis. My teaching style is that of encouragement; I like to challenge my students, while at the same time, reminding them not to force their way into a practice. I believe that yoga is about focusing on the positive; yoga is about what you can do. Namaste, Arlene |

| Yoga balances, harmonises, purifies and strengthens the body, mind and soul of the practitioner. It shows the way to perfect health, perfect mind control and perfect peace with one's Self, the world, nature and God. - Swami Vishnu-devananda |
