| I began practicing yoga in 2000. In 2001, I was introduced to Sivananda yoga. Having found the style that I am passionate about, I quickly developed a daily practice. When I realized that I wanted to share my love of yoga with others, I began my teacher training. I achieved my first certification in 2006, and am a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher. I encourage my students to challenge themselves without forcing. And, always have them focus on the positive; yoga is about what you can do. During March 2009, I completed a 108-hour certification course, Yoga of the Heart®, with Nischala Joy Devi and Bashkar Alan Deva. I am using this training to teach stress management and healing techniques to people with limited mobility and serious illness. I am pursuing my 500-hour certification with Dr. Bob Butera, at YogaLife Institute in Wayne, PA. I am excited about continuing my education, and look forward to sharing my new-found knowledge with my students. Namaste, Arlene |

| Yoga balances, harmonises, purifies and strengthens the body, mind and soul of the practitioner. It shows the way to perfect health, perfect mind control and perfect peace with one's Self, the world, nature and God. - Swami Vishnu-devananda |
